This week between the 6th and the 11th September, the Vieux Port and Port Canto will host the 2022 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival. A fleet of around 650 sailing yachts, motor yachts and tenders will line-up at the legendary Côte d’Azur. The most beautiful jewels of the seas, the latest nautical equipment, and the highest-end services will be displayed for everyone to enjoy. Visitors attending the event’s two sites, will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a full yachting experience, with onboard sessions and sea trials taking place throughout the festival.
A Setting for Exhibitors and Visitors
The Cannes Yachting Festival brings together all the major players in yachting. This year, the festival will be organised into sectors by type of boat. Superyachts, motorboats and their equipment will be shown at the Vieux Port. Port Canto will accommodate the Sailing World, the Yacht Brokerage & Charter area bringing together the biggest yachts, and the Toys area for nautical toys.
In Italian dolce vita-style spirit, the Jetée will accommodate the most legendary international shipyards which vie with each other in luxury and design presenting the world débuts of their latest innovations. The Super Yachts Extension will showcase the largest international shipyards, exhibiting the best the world has to offer in yachts and super yachts.
With the world undergoing a green transition, the Cannes Yachting Festival has created the Green Route. For the 2022 edition, the Cannes Yachting Festival brings together 100% electric and hybrid boats in the heart of the Vieux Port. The area will feature the eco-efficient solutions exhibitors have developed to reduce the nautical industry’s environmental impact on the sea and marine ecosystems.
Luxury Gallery
In addition to the exemplary selection of yachts available to view, the Cannes Yachting Festival is also known for its attractive auxiliary exhibits including the Luxury Gallery. It enables Exhibitors and high-end brands, or more confidential actors, to make themselves known to an international audience. Located inside the Palais des Festivals in the Vieux Port and equipped with an elegant and refined scenography, it allows visitors to discover famous brands.
This prestigious area is dedicated exclusively to luxury players in the sectors including watchmaking, jewellery, spirits, fashion and accessories, household linen, decoration, furniture, design, art, high-tech products, and ancillary services. VIP Club
At The Floating Penthouse, VIPs will be welcomed onto its terrace to enjoy the exceptional view at Port Canto, and the Louis Roederer Champagne house will serve its Collection cuvée in the VIP spaces of the festival.
Concours d’ Elegance
Water sport enthusiasts and racing aficionados won’t be disappointed with ongoing demonstrations on the water plus the annual Concours d’ Elegance with vintage boats on display. The show will entail an elegant fashion show of classic boats to pay tribute to the rich history of yachting. The event will take place on 10th September at Palais des Festival.
